I love using pedestal plates on a buffet, and a 3-tiered serving piece adds height and dimension to any tablescape. The serving dish in this photograph is particularly charming because of the scallops and handpainted details.
Here's a great recipe for Lemon Curd from Tea Time.
Makes 2 cups
Ingredients
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons lemon zest
3 egg yolks
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
Directions
-
In a double boiler over medium-high heat, whisk together lemon juice, lemon zest, and egg yolks.
-
Add sugar and continue whisking for 8 to 10 minutes until lemon curd thickens slightly.
-
Remove from heat, and gradually whisk in butter until melted.
-
Cool mixture slightly; pour into container, and chill.

Hi Arleen, The setting looks lovely and the recipe divine. Elavating with pedestals on the table adds so much charm and interest. This is lovely.
Thank you for sharing.
