Tablescape ~ Tea with Lemon & Flowers

I love this China pattern.  Simple and sweet.  And look what's inside the cup with the tea.  Some choose to take their tea with cream and sugar, some with only cream, some with only sugar, and some like their tea plain.  Then there are those who like lemon, with or without sugar.  How fun it would be to serve a cup of tea and top it with a small flower, an unexpected and delightful surprise.

Be still my heart!  These tea cup are so beautiful, and I love the suggestion of using different China patterns at a tea party.  So quaint and charming.

Tablescape ~ Tea Party Tray

If you're having tea with just one other, you can still have a tea party.  Just pick a favorite platter, add cream, sugar, sweets, and some napkins that compliment the color or colors of the platter.  It can be as plain or busy as you like.  Consider mixing several floral patterns and then place a few live posies atop the sugar cubes.  So inviting and so charming!

Inspiration ~ Cottage Decorating

 

The weather was so beautiful this past weekend that it put me very much in mind of cottage living.  White paint on nearly all surfaces, a mixture of new and vintage fabrics in pink and green, and a cozy place to spend time alone or with friends.

Pretty in Pink ~ Paper Party Favors

I was browsing the Better Homes and Gardens website earlier this week and found the most beautiful collection of paper party favors!  They are made with pink and white scrapbook papers and are so elegant!  Rather than adding any more words, I'm just going to show the images.  (The link to the instructions to make these crafts yourself is below.)
