Following a glistening sunny day yesterday, it became suddenly very windy last night. There is no rain in the forecast, but I sure would in enjoy some showers if they happen to arrive.

Each year QVC partners with the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) to raise money through shoe sales for breast cancer research and education. This year, QVC's shopping event will occur on Thursday, October 15, 2008 from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. ET.
As we continue to appreciate the chic and fashionable images rendered by Ms. Laliberte, be sure to check out the shoes and handbag in this painting. The certainly appear to be rich Italian leather!

My sisters lived in London for 2 years and I visited them there for 3 months. It was the drab of winter, so the only color I saw was inside their world renowned museums. I hope to return some day. I'd love to see all those European cities in full bloom!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and pink ribbons are worn as a silent tribute to fight this horrible disease. In honor of all those women and men who are survivors, all who succumbed, and all who have traveled the breast cancer journey with a loved one, this week The Tea Room will "think pink."
While looking for appropriate images to include in my posts, I was particularly drawn to paintings by Andrea Laliberte. Her images of women are chic and contemporary, but they seem timeless, too. I would be hard-pressed to choose a favorite.
