Oh how I love Enya! I play Christmas music non-stop from November 1 to December 31. Every year, January 1 feels like giving up a habit cold turkey. After all the sentiment the holiday season and Christmas music evokes, how in the world do you follow it with something equally as rich and meaningful?
Several years ago I began playing Enya's music in January. I liked it so much that I continued playing it through the winter and well into spring. I have several favorites, some I play only in the dark of winter. Others though are timeless and I enjoy them year 'round. It's hard to choose a favorite. "Amarantine" is not my very favorite, but I do enjoy it. I also like that this video has a lush, whimsical landscape, one that is fitting of the current season. Thank you, Enya, for awakening all of my senses, especially in the dormant days of winter.
