Seven Things You Never Knew About Me
-
I was lucky enough to have all 4 of my grandparents alive and living within 30 miles of me until I was in my mid-20s. I was also fortunate enough to have known one of my great grandmothers; she passed away when I was in the 6th grade.

I experienced agony and ecstacy within a 4 month period. My first son was born in April 1982; my father passed away unexpectedly on July 30 of the same year. My sons, who are now 26 and almost 22, are my heroes. One is very much like my father in nature, the other is very much like him in looks.

Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the year. Storage for my Christmas decor takes up nearly as much square footage in my garage as my car, which is a mid-size sedan.
-
As much as I love to decorate my home, I don't like to cook -- at all! The only meal I cook is brunch on Mother's Day for my entire family.
-
During the 1980s, I testified in federal court in the states of Pennsylvania and Louisiana representing a Fortune 100 company in cases of insurance and mail fraud. I was one of several witnesses. In both cases, the defendants were found guilty on all counts.

I went back to school just a few years ago (after becoming a grandmother!) to complete my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Psychology and Development. I graduated Summa cum laude.

Although I am progressive politically, my values are traditional. I believe in good manners under all circumstances, have raised "gentlemen," and, even as a little girl, have always been a lady. I wear a lot of black because it's classic and timeless, but the colors I've chosen for this blog design more accurately express my femininity.
